5.0 out of 5 stars I'm never picking up a hammer again! August 19, 2010

By Jason Peacock

I giggled the first time I used this, it drives nails with such ease - as if the wood was butter.
It's great for metal fasteners and tight spaces, it gets into all the small corners where neither a full size nail gun nor a hammer would fit.
The small size is a perfect fit for my (large) hand, and squeezes into smaller places than the larger model palm nailer.
The magnet holds the nails well so you can drive them with one hand, just press and the nail is quickly hammered (vibrated?) into place.
You can stop early and leave the nail head up if you're just tacking things, or come back later and finish the nail flush.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tool for the Cost April 28, 2011

By T. J. Walker

This is another product that I give 5 stars, not because it is the best on the market (not industrial quality) - but is a good deal for the low price. I had a project where I needed to drive 240 nails in tight, overhead areas - could have done it with a hammer - but my wrist and shoulder hurt just thinking about the prospect.
Had this puppy in a couple days with Amazon Prime, quickly reviewed the instructions and 45 minutes later had the job done - didn't even break a sweat.
Will probably submit a video of this in action because you have to see it to believe how easy it makes a job like this.
One word of caution, read the instructions about how to insert the nails. It's pretty easy to accidentally "fire" this thing if you are not focused every time you load a nail - and I imagine even a preacher would have some choice words if it fired with his/her finger over the nail point.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for my hair, and smells like roses! July 15, 2010

By Y. She

This brand is amazing! It really makes the hair smooth and hydrated. You will notice a difference the first time. Even after styling my hair, it still felt smooth and silky! And while I was washing it, my shower smelled of roses. I love it!
I bought mine at the salon.....cost me $75!
This price is definitely better! I'm going to get the refill when I'm done with the 24oz bottle. Even that is only $61 for 36oz!!! >.<

I discovered this product at the place where I went to get my Japanese hair straightening. I have VERY frizzy/curly hair and have tried so many different products. I first used the conditioner and loved it SO much, I went with both the shampoo and conditioner. I bought this size and it lasted me 8 months, which justified the price. It does wonders for my highlighted, straightened hair and - I believe - lessens the transition curliness/frizz between the straightened hair strands and new hair growth so that styling my hair is easier. Totally recommend and Amazon has the best price I could find - and I get it in two days with my Prime membership!

5.0 out of 5 stars Comparison to popular Porter Cable pancake compressor April 14, 2012

By Matt Ashland

Amazon Verified Purchase

Here are a few measurements comparing this Bostitch to the Porter Cable 6 gallon pancake compressor it's replacing:
Bostitch / Porter Cable
Time to charge: 0:47 (@150 psi) / 2:31 (@135 psi)
Decibels @ 3ft: 90 dB / 92 dB
Weight: 26.8 lbs / 33.8 lbs
Air blower @ 90 psi (time before pressure falls below 90 psi): 9 seconds / 11 seconds
Pressure after 1 minute of air blower: 35 psi / 50 psi
Equilibrium pressure leaving air blower open: 35 psi after 30 seconds / 35 psi after 2 minutes
The Bostitch is faster to charge, quieter, and lighter. Both motors produce about the same amount of compressed air.
The smaller tank on the Bostitch provides slightly less air, but the fast recovery mostly offsets this concern.
The Bostitch earns five stars from me.

Light On Its Feet December 23, 2011

By George Hogue

I really like the ergonomics of this air compressor. The dials are large and easy to read. All of the controls are on the front of the unit. This compressor is very light weight, making it extremely portable. I am amazed at how quiet this compressor is, and the tank fills quickly reducing the run time of the engine.
So far, I've only used this compressor to fill the air in the tires of my SUV, motorcycle, lawnmower and bicycle. No more trips to the gas station - I should have made this purchase a lot sooner. I can say without hesitation that you will be delighted with this air compressor from Bostitch.

4.0 out of 5 stars fantastic conbo February 20, 2009

By JB

I would prefer to give this product 4.5 stars instead of 5
The CPACK300 has been great for my recent remodelling jobs. Compared to the cp3, the kit remains the same except for the change in compressor. From my experience with both kits, the CPack300 has a far more ergonomic & jobsite friendly design. As other have pointed out for the CP3, the compressor handle was poorly designed & weight and size has been reduced to produce the cpack300 compressor. It's a tad more powerful at 40 psi & so much easier to lug around. Guages are protected by a rubber rims & the compressor is as compact as can be, the design is queter than the previous design & queter that similar porter cable designs.(it'll still wake you up in the middle of the night if you keep it plugged in next to you )
All guns require a bit of oil, but work flawlessly. Bostich makes great products made for a lifetime & i'm sure this is no different. The guns have never jammed, and work fine with 3rd party nails, or brads... after about 2000 nails, i have yet to have a jam. The design is great, the guns fire comparatively quiet & have the dual safety feature.
The no mar tips are of hard plastic & in my opinion inferrior to the porter cable guns i've used prior to purchasing this combo. I do appreciate the comprenhsive kit that is included. basically you get a quality stanley tool bag, about $25 worth of nails, staples, and brads.
The only deduction i'd give is to the cheap pvc air hose included, i guess this is true with all pvc produces... it maintains its rigitity & it maye be tough going around corners, causing the user to tug it along. Also it doesn't wind as well as rubber hoses, I'm sure i'll be upgrading the hose once it shows its age.
The whole kit is probably 50 lbs total & take a very small footprint when organize.
So far the whole kit is fantastic for the price i paid, about $270 after taxes. It's on par with more expensive kits & it give you alot for the money, including an impressive 7 yr warranty on the guns.
I've laid down about 1500 square ft of hardwood between this bostich & a porter cable combo that i borrowed off a friend. nailed in 150 ft of molding & fixed all sort of problems through out my home. I'd recommend this kit to anyone over the CP3 kit for anyone looking for a dependable nailer/compressor combo. CP3 kit has the inferior compressor

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Adjustable wrench December 29, 2011

By Ryan C

I stumbeld upon this wrench on youtube. I figured the thing was probably junk but I went a head and bought one because I really love the rest of my Bostitch tools. It really does ratchet well and more importently grabs bolt head well. It won't replace a socket set or good wrenches but it does the job well. This thing is made out of some good steel and ways twice as much as a traditional 12" adjustable wrench and despite having more moving parts it should last a long time and has the standerd Bostitch life time warenty.

The first time you pick up the Bostitch N62FNK-2, you might wonder if such a lightweight finish nailer (it weighs just 3.8-pounds, the lightest in its class) can really get the job done. But once you pull the trigger and feel the 400-inch-pounds of driving power at your fingertips, those doubts will disappear and you'll wonder how you ever did without it before. Great gun - EXTREMELY light November 4, 2002

Best Finish nailer under $1,000,000! January 6, 2002

By David Mendoza

I have been shopping for a 15 or 16 gauge finish nailer for about six months. This Bostitch is the only 15 gauge angled nailer that I have found to be priced in the straight 16 gauge price range.
This is the best 15 gauge gun at any price. Just hold this gun in your hand and you will be convinced that you can't buy a better gun, period.
I had narrowed my choices down to the Bostitch, Porter-Cable and the new DeWalt.
The PC was nice, the price was right and I have had great success with my PC 18 gauge brad nailer, but the 15 gauge PC was way too heavy. Almost twice the weight of the Bostitch.
The DeWalt fit my small hands like a glove, was very light weight and within my budget (if I stayed with the straight nailer vs the angled model). However, I shyed away from the DeWalt models because the contact trip assembly had too many bends which didn't seem to operate as smoothly as the PC and Bostitch. The display model at a local hardware store already looked like it was on the verge of having problems. I'm not hard on my tools, but one nasty bump, or a fall off of the workbench and you might be out of business.
Finally the Bostitch!
At less than 4 lbs. it's the lightest in it's class, yet still packs the biggest punch of them all! 400 in./lbs. It only weighs about 1 lb. more than by Porter-Cable brad nailer.
The finish and quality are second to none. It just plain ol' feels good in your hand. It's balanced so well it feels like an extension of your hand.
I am on a major budget (per the wife), but this gun is definitely worth every penny of the MSRP of $.... So why is it selling for only $...? Either A) it's a "typo", or B) Amazon and/or Bostitch has gone loco. Whatever the reason, my advice is buy this nailer before they discover that they are practically giving it away. I'm sure this gun will be the standard by which all other finish nailers will be measured against. You will not regret this purchase!

Product Description

From the Manufacturer

The Bostitch Twin Blade Knife is ideal for all roofing, flooring, and general contracting applications. It is the world's first knife that allows users to alternate between two blades without carrying more than one knife. Because of its unique design, this knife saves users time by letting them switch between two blades by simply retracting one blade and extending the other without changing anything. This allows the user to work a little longer without having to stop and replace a dull blade every few minutes. Switching between a hooked blade and a standard blade has never been easier or faster. The knife has interlocking blade sliders to ensure that only one blade is extended at a time (patent-pending). The Bostitch twin blade knife comes complete with two straight blades and two hook blades. This knife gives contractors and serious do-it-yourselfers more options….whether they prefer to load two different blades or just want to use two of the same. The knife's InstantChange feature allows the user to replace a blade in seconds by performing three simple steps: press the button located on the tool's nose, remove the blade, and then insert the replacement blade. It also provides easy-access blade storage that holds up to nine blades for fast and easy blade changes. In total, this new knife has a storage capacity of 11 blades, if you count the two loaded in the front and the nine stored in the rear. Rubber comfort grips located on both the top and bottom of the knife help to minimize fatigue and reduce slippage.

How to install/replace the blades on the 10-501 knife - A "Primmer" November 21, 2011

By farmnerd

Since it was supposed to be so easy to do, Stanley made sure that the directions on blade installation and replacement were non-existent on the package and on their website. That's some bold corporate confidence for you. So the knife has gotten rapped on here for this reason.
Once the blade manipulations were conquered, I really appreciated that this knife delivered as promised. It is very convenient to have a single knife available with multiple blade configurations possible. The knife's balance and grip is the best that I've ever used. A person's knuckles are well protected from abrasion by the drop down design of the nose.
The blades are installed very easily, and you don't have to use the GI Joe Shaolin Kung Fu Super Death Grip technique, by the following procedure: slide one of the blade extension buttons forward, push the small black right/left selector switch/button at the nose to the same side as the extended extension button, partially slide the blade into the front receptor slot (while holding the right/left selector button in position), finish sliding the blade into the slot by setting the blade tip onto a surface and sliding the knife body down onto the blade, releasing the right/left selector button after the blade is in position.
Removing the blade the first few times works best by gripping with pliers, but as the mechanism is broken in, the blades are removed easily by hand (as with all razor knives preferably a gloved one). Just remember that little right/left switch on top of the knife.
This is easier than conventional razor knives and the mechanism seems more stable and durable to me.
Practice with one or two blades for a couple of minutes and you're set for life.

By David Elliott

I like Bostitch. I was hoping for this knife to be a winner. It's a great idea to put 2 knives on one handle, but it needs a little work if you use your tools in a heavy duty sort of way. I bought this so I could use a hook blade in one slot and a straight blade in the other. I used this knife (while roofing) for a month or two before the grip for the first knife popped off... rendering it useless. So now its just a utility knife - and an off-centered utility knife because the blade is a bit awkward on the right side. I'm sure I'll still use it when I don't have another knife handy in the shop. But still, it only took a couple for this knife to become an ornament on the peg board.

Why we like nailguns February 18, 2004

By Claude H. Post Jr.

Again I am going to highly praise Bostitch nail guns. I am a home builder in the Northeast and use Bostitch guns and only Bostitch. Reliability is reason # 1. They work day in and day out. Reason #2 is the availabilty of nails. Everyone carries Bostitch nails, not the case with other brands. I have 4 of these siding nailers, 2 being the N64c's. I favor the older models because the nose is very easily adjusted. On the 64s you have to use a wrench, loosen 2 nuts, slide the nose, then retighten the nuts. Very time consuming and hard to get an accurate slight adjustment. I can not understand why they made this change. Other than that still a great product. They work great on wood siding, but could work a little better on Hardi-plank cement board. When the pressure is on the low end sometimes doesn't countersink. But, all of the manufacturers have this same problem. If you are going to buy a utilty nailer/siding gun, go for the Bostitch.

The good:

- The oil free engine is fantastic. No oil on your work and no need to remember to oil it.

- Easy to use and maintain.

- Pretty much jam free (I've shot plenty of nails through it already).

- VERY light.

The bad:

- Only shoots Stanley nails (PC and Senco shoot a different type of nail). Not a problem as I see it - [One home improvement store] sells them in boxes of 5000 (PC sells their nails in boxes of 1000).

- Plastic magazine - Not sure how long it will last.

very good nails. I used them to install new siding on our home. They held good with no gun jamming. shipment was on time. Very good prices compared to local hardware and lumber yard prices. Would recommend for construction and home use.

Works well with Bostitch Nail Gun June 5, 2011

We had been having trouble with our Bostich siding nailer. We were using another brand of well known nails that were supposed to be capatible. The nail gun kept jamming. When we got the Bostitch brand nails and started using them the jams stopped.

Leaving a rosebud on the finished siding is a thing of the past when using the Bostitch N66C-1 pneumatic nailer. Now you can drive wire weld and plastic inserted coil nails in to all types of siding materials such as wood panels or wood siding, fiber cement board such as Hardie Plank and even light gauge steel. By simply adjusting the depth guide you can "power nail" decking, fencing and some heavier shingle materials. The lightweight body, just 4.4 pounds, is easy to handle and the durable aluminum body will add years to the life of the tool. The N66C-1 is designed with a soft rubber foot to prevent scarring or damage to the working surfaces plus an adjustable exhaust port that can be easily set to divert the exhaust away from the user. A handy rugged storage/carrying case is included to prevent accidental damage and to keep the tool clean. --C. Dwight Barnett

GREAT LIGHT WEIGHT GUN October 9, 2011
I BOUGHT THIS PARTICULAR NAIL GUN FOR DOING CEDAR SHINGLE JOBS. ITS VERY LIGHT WEIGHT. VERY HELPFUL WHEN USING IT FOR 8 HRS A DAY FOR SEVERAL DAYS IN A ROW. I OWN OTHER BOSTITCH GUNS , NEVER HAVE ANY TROUBLE. PARTS ARE EASY TO GET IF NEEDED. NAILS FOR IT ARE AVILABLE ALMOST EVERYWHERE. PLUS ITS MADE IN U.S.A.
 great gun June 9, 2011
We use this gun for cedar siding, trim boards, and plywood sheeting for both roofs and sidewall sheeting. The gun is light, reliable, durable, and easy to repair if you do abuse it. We have replaced an aircap and a top seal (the gun took a nose dive off a 3 story victorian roof) That said we have enjoyed using it and would recommend it. Can't think of a down side so a 5 star buy. One note if your I would recommend the wire collated over the plastic collated ...we have had issues with the little plastic trails that hangs onto the nail and sticks out around the head. Wire seams to be cleaner.
